Our Vision

The Future We Intend to Create:

  • Create an environment where we build trust and friendships

  • Learn about God and the Bible

  • Strengthen our relationship with God and discover His plans for us

  • Become equipped to share the Word

  • Learn how to pray

  • Invite to Ignite

What We Do & How We Communicate

Recent Bible Studies have included Pursue in Summer 2021, the Word Became Flesh in Fall 2021, and Chasing Love in 2022. We have a relaxed environment with music, prayer time, and Bible study to engage students in learning more about God, His word, and His purpose for their lives.

Monthly Service Projects provide a social opportunity combined with local service to our community. Recent projects have included yard cleanup for widows, food pantry, and window washing for local elderly residents.

Our fellowship events are a great time to just relax and enjoy time with friends! We had an inaugural ignite Olympics in August along with a 5th quarter after a RCHS home football game. We also had a bonfire with our church, a Christmas Party, Super Bowl Viewing Party, and a Progressive Dinner.

We value family support in the spiritual development of each student! Parents are informed and actively engaged in the ministry through volunteer roles, monthly emails, weekly texts, and myriad social media posts! Follow @fbcyouthignite on Facebook and Instagram!

Our History

The Student Ministry at First Baptist has a long-standing tradition in the Spring City Community of being an active youth group with a tremendous amount of support within the church. In the Fall of 2020, the students adopted the name "ignite" after a 3-month long process of studying in the Word, sharing ideas, and creating a vision and values for the program.

For this reason I remind you to fan into the flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying of my hands.

-2 Timothy 1:6
